Island Aqua Park — Margate

If you want the biggest, this is it. Island Aqua Park is a 45,000-square-foot floating playground on the Margate bay with more than 100 interconnected inflatables — slides, climbing structures, platforms and obstacles billed as the largest inflatable water park in the Northeast. A clever dock design wraps the entire perimeter, so parents can walk around and watch from anywhere. It’s family-owned by the Tice family, the same crew behind Island Water Sports in Stone Harbor, who’ve worked this coast for more than 35 years.
Kids 6 and up can hop on without an adult in the water (a grown-up just signs the waiver), and certified lifeguards staff every session. The park’s seventh season opens June 25, 2026, and you can book sessions online in advance — smart on hot, crowded weekends.
Island Water Sports Aqua Park — Stone Harbor

This is where it all started for the family — Island Water Sports has been a Stone Harbor fixture since 1988, tucked into the Shelter Haven basin near downtown. The aqua park here is smaller and more laid-back than its Margate sibling, but it packs in the classics: the famous blob launchpad (where lifeguards bounce kids skyward), slides, a rock climbing wall, a jungle gym, a rope climb and cliffs to leap from. Parents grab a barstool along the railing and watch the chaos unfold.
It’s first-come, first-served with no reservations, so arrive early on peak days. One important heads-up: Stone Harbor is cash only — hit an ATM before you go.
Aqua Park — Ocean City
Ocean City, NJ
Aqua Park operates from the Ocean City Boathouse Marina at 228 Bay Avenue (run by Totally Tubular / OCNJ Watersports). It’s the only inflatable obstacle course in Ocean City — an 8,500-square-foot floating playground with 20+ features including slides, monkey bars, diving boards and several climbing structures.
It’s a great fit for mixed-age families: the standard sessions welcome ages 6 and up, while dedicated “Small Splash” time slots let kids 4 to 7 explore without the big kids around. Sessions run 45 minutes and start on the hour (with a double-session option), hours are tide-dependent, and there’s a bonus for parents — the onsite Dockside Kitchen lets you grab a bite and watch from the water’s edge. Lake Barnegat Wibit — Lacey Township
Lacey Township, NJ
Up in Ocean County, the Lacey Township “Wibit” floats on calm Lake Barnegat (the 2nd Lake) in Forked River — a gentler, lake-based alternative to the open-bay parks, and easily the most affordable on this list. The 8,500-square-foot course is loaded with monkey bars, a half-pipe, bridges, ramps, slides and twist-turns, with lifeguards stationed across the playground.
Because it’s run by the township, pricing is split between residents and visitors, and it’s cash or check only. Anyone can go — you don’t have to be a resident — but a beach badge gets locals the lower rate. The 2026 season runs weekends starting June 20 and daily from June 25; hours vary, so check the Lacey Township Wibit Facebook page before you drive over.
