Beach Tag Information
The City of Ventnor requires Beach Badges for the Beach from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Beach badges are required for all individuals 12 and older. Badges can be purchased prior to June 1st for a discount. Discounts also available for senior citizens. Weekly and Seasonal badges can be purchased online, at Ventnor City Hall, or through the My Beach Mobile app. Please call the Ventnor City Clerk’s Office for additional information at 609.823.7904 or email lhand@ventnorcity.org.
Please have badges ready to show at the beach entrance and on the beach when requested by badge checkers.
Protected Beaches
The City of Ventnor City provides guarded beaches during the summer months (between Memorial Day and Labor Day). Lifeguards will be on duty from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The beaches that lifeguards are on duty vary during the beginning and end of the summer. Please call the Beach Headquarters at (609) 823-7948 for details. The following beaches are guarded:

Kayak Beach: Princeton Avenue and the beach. While there are no lifeguards assigned to this beach, it is supervised during the hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. by the lifeguards at Sacramento Avenues. Please exercise caution while kayaking.
Surfing Beach: Located next to the Fishing Pier. Open during daylight hours. There is no lifeguard assigned to this beach, it is supervised during the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. by the lifeguards at Dorset Avenue. Please exercise caution while surfing.
Accessibility
Beach Access: Ventnor City offers handicap locations for ramp access to the beach. Beach mats are located at Suffolk, Dorset, Newport, Derby, Oxford and Somerset Avenue beaches.
Accessible Parking: Available at kiosk and metered stations located at Suffolk and Somerset avenues and Newport and New Haven Avenues.
Accessible Restrooms: Located at the Suffolk Avenue tennis courts, Cambridge Avenue fishing pier, Newport Avenue playground, and New Haven Avenue library.

Comfort Stations
Restrooms from Memorial Day through Labor Day are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the following locations:
- Newport Avenue adjacent to the Community Building
- Suffolk Avenue by the Tennis/Pickleball Courts
- The Fishing Pier on Cambridge Avenue
Hobie Cat Beach

Beach Volleyball Courts: Located next to the Fishing Pier at Cambridge Avenue and in front of the tennis courts at Somerset Avenue.
Dogs on the Beach: During the times of May 15 through September 30th, leashed dogs are only allowed on the beach from the hours of 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and only on the areas of the beach washed by the high tide line. During the times of October 1st through May 15th, dogs may be walked on a leash only on the areas of beach washed by the high tide line.
